ABOUT THE FIGURES:

Each figure was handcrafted and/or customized by me, not by machines. I'm not a company, just a custom figure & doll artist.

Some of the figures shown on this site are in my personal collection - I intend to keep adding to my collection and will post pictures as they are available. Feel free to check back to see them! Some are in private collections, and others are in the collections of the people depicted (now THAT'S cool!)

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

As a kid I played with GI Joes, Captain Action, and Star Trek figures, Lone Ranger horses! Legos, Play-doh; I built models (Universal Monsters were my favorite) and had lots of pets (still do! mostly mice!) I drew and painted a lot too. I worked in an art gallery where I met many artists, and picked up various techniques using several different mediums to create 3-dimensional art. I’m always learning and trying new techniques for my art. Even my woodworking skills help at times. I like to keep my work one-of-a-kind (ooak), this is why I tend to sculpt many parts of the figures - faces, hands, heads, torsos, boots, hats, etc - this leaves them truly unique.

In 1994 we started collecting & selling vintage GI Joes & Barbie dolls (60's & 70's) - my main focus at the time was repairing the Joe "talkers" and re-rooting the vintage barbies when needed. Then I started customizing dolls and figures into ones that I wished were available in the stores - of course now there are plenty more available. In 1997 my main focus turned to custom figures and "ToyMangler" evolved.

That’s my collectibles & art “history” basically in a nutshell. Aside from that - I am a Metal fan and like many different genres of it. I don't fall for any Nu-Metal vs Heavy Metal vs Old Metal arguments - I find there are good bands and bad bands in every genre of music and won't limit myself to just one. If you limit yourself, you'll miss out on a whole bunch of good stuff! I live a quiet and (what some people call) gothic lifestyle. Halloween is my favorite holiday and I love horror movies.
If I could be any one character, I'd want to be 'Otis' from the movie "House of 1000 Corpses" - cause Otis does whatever he wants - whenever he wants! Haven't seen it? You should!

Oh - and Yeah! those really are my eyes in the logo. (Creepy, eh?)
